The 9th Annual Iron Pour: Another Successful Fiery Experience

We work as a team, sharing the hard labor, the excitement and the danger. We watch each other’s back (safety), solve problems in real time and celebrate each other’s success. I think that is why the public enjoys watching our Iron Pours; they can experience the pride, satisfaction and joy that comes from working towards a common goal and sharing the creative process with the community.

The 9th Annual Iron Pour

Another Successful Fiery Experience

Durham, NC – Liberty Arts is happy to announce the outstanding success from the 9th Iron Pour, our annual experience that connects creativity, collaboration and community.  The amount of support we received from local partners, dedicated volunteers, and talented artists, allowed us to showcase the power of coming together through art.

Fun For All

From the lighting of the furnace to the market, the gallery, the live painting, the glass blowing, the flame working, the Batalá Durham performances and everything in between, this years’ experience offered something for everyone. The support from the Iron Legacy sponsors allowed us to expand the Iron Pour programming, ensuring a memorable experience for all.  The community’s fervor and participation are always the driving force behind the event’s success.

Gratitude For All

On behalf of the Liberty Arts staff, artists, and Board of Directors, we thank you! This event is created and sustained by our community – our artists, volunteers, performers, vendors, partners, and collaborators are key to the Iron Pour's success. We also send a special thanks to our Iron Legacy Sponsors whose generous contributions made the 9th Annual Iron Pour one of Durham’s most spectacular events of 2025!

Fervent For The 10th

As we reflect on this year’s achievements, we are also announcing that planning for the 10th Annual Iron Pour will begin over the next few weeks.  We are excited to build on the momentum of IRON HEROES and to craft new experiences and opportunities for connection.

Stay tuned for more details – we are looking forward to celebrating a decade of creativity, community, and collaboration in 2026! You can stay in the Iron Pour loop by following Liberty Arts on our channels and join us as we get ready to stoke the fire for the 10th.

About Iron Pour

Every November since 2016, Liberty Arts has proudly hosted this fiery, free community event which takes place at Durham Central Park.  More than 5,000 attendees are expected to watch teams of artists operate two furnaces that heat thousands of pounds of iron to unfathomable temperatures.

Liberty Arts

Liberty Arts was founded in 2001, as a non-profit dedicated to making art accessible to everyone.  Liberty Arts believes that art education, creative collaborations, and sustainable partnerships contribute to the overall well-being of the community and fosters connections in Durham and throughout The Triangle.
