Liberty Arts member artists rent individual studio spaces in a warehouse setting while contributing to our organization’s community and Durham’s creative atmosphere. We welcome artists that are excited to create, share ideas, and uplift our community. Member artists create an environment for creatives to flourish, collaborate, and grow while supporting Liberty Arts’ mission.

• Artistic Skills: We seek visual artists who demonstrate a strong artistic vision, originality, and technical proficiency in their chosen medium.

• Passion for the Arts: We are looking for practicing artists who are deeply committed to their craft and understand the importance of the creative process and community building.

• Adaptability & Problem-Solving: Liberty Arts values artists who embrace challenges, think critically and find innovative solutions.

• Teamwork & Collaboration: Our aim is to create an environment that encourages artists to inspire and learn from each other. We highly value artists who can effectively collaborate, share ideas, and offer constructive feedback. It is important that member artists are respectful, open-minded, and supportive.

• Teaching & Public Engagement: If you have teaching experience or a strong interest in sharing your skills and techniques with others, we would love to hear about it!
