Become a Teaching Artist
Liberty Arts is actively looking for skilled local artists to teach in our studio. Our priorities are instructors in the industrial arts that are open to teaching:
Glassblowing techniques for students of all experience levels
Welding (MIG), grinding, and plasma cutting
Casting in the Liberty Arts foundry (aluminum, bronze) and regional iron pouring
All of our instructors support our mission to create experiences that enhance artistic growth and community building, through creative practice and collaboration.
To get to know each other better, our plan is for first-time guest instructors to conduct a “project-based”(eg a garden bench, a holiday decoration, etc) class where students learn the basic craft skills and finish the class with a defined object. From there, the instructor may wish to teach more intensive, skill-building classes.
