third friday art walk programming

Liberty Arts hosts monthly Third Friday programming at our Studio, our Foundry in Durham Central Park, and in pop-up locations around downtown Durham. Events range from metal casting and glass blowing demonstrations, to artist exhibitions and creative workshops.

The Annual Iron Pour

The Annual Iron Pour is Liberty Arts’ largest event of the year, taking place in Durham Central Park. The festival attracts over 5,500 attendees who gather to watch teams of artists pour thousands of pounds of molten iron in an exciting fiery display, creating iron tiles and sculptures designed by the community. The Iron Pour also features performances, local food trucks, craft beer, art vendors, and opportunities to learn from and engage with this spectacular art form.
