Join Liberty Arts on July 18 for the American Craft Council’s National Craft Open Studios Weekend! This is a first-of-its-kind, nationwide celebration inviting the public into the creative spaces of craft artists across the country.
Our studio will be open from 4 to 8 pm on Saturday only. We are excited to share the work of over 10 different artists working in glass, jewelry, metal casting, welding, ceramics and more! Enjoy demonstrations, observe classes, chat with working artists, purchase handmade pieces, and learn about upcoming opportunities to engage. Lost Wax Casting
Learn how to cast a pre-made wax or 3D printed object using the Lost Wax method in a two day class. Feel free to bring your own model to cast or use one provided.
Make Your Own Mini Glass Dinosaurs
During this hour and a half class, students will learn the fundamentals of lampworking and make their own glass creations to take home. Beginners welcome!
Glass Memorials - Design Consultation
Virtual meeting to explore the wide range of design options for creating a beautiful glass memorial that captures and preserves the cherished memories of your loved one.

As we approach November, we’ll regularly update this page with information about the pour along with opportunities to sponsor, volunteer, and participate in special 10th anniversary activations. VENDOR APP: Due July 15. We are accepting applications for Vendors in our Iron Night Market as a part of the 10th Annual Liberty Arts Iron Pour. This event saw over 5,000 attendees last year and is a great opportunity for artists and craftspersons to sell their merchandise! Apply now!
PLAQUE DESIGN CONTEST: Due July 31. You can have your design immortalized during the 10th Annual Liberty Arts Iron Pour and installed in the Liberty Arts Foundry at Durham Central Park! Submit to our design contest in celebration of the 10th Annual Iron Pour. Open to artists of all ages! Apply now!
