“The month of August had turned into a griddle where the days just lay there and sizzled.”
hello August
August is all about the upcoming Poursquare (a new name for scratch block), community support after storm Chantal and a medium mix of classes.
IRON POUR: POURSQUARE
A Traditional workshop gets a new name…

FOUNDRY FLOOD RECOVERY
We extend a HUGE THANK YOU to the volunteers that contributed to the Foundry Clean-Up Event that happened on July 20th – who knew cleaning up was so fun!
And we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has contributed to our recovery campaign so far. Thanks to 20 generous donors, we raised nearly $2,000! This support is crucial in allowing us to replace key components of our small furnace and start fortifying our space against future weather-related damage.
While we still have a long way to go to reach our $25,000 goal, every gift moves us closer to reopening and reactivating the Foundry as a vital creative hub for our community.
Thank you for helping us to rebuild, together.
Your continued support makes all the difference.
Learn at Liberty
“Fantastic teacher; patient, kind and knowledgeable.”
August is amazing for learning at liberty! Here are a few of the classes we are highlighting.
Jennifer’s class allows students to design and create their own modern fused glass night light in this fun, beginner-friendly class! This class only has three spots, you know what we say, don’t delay and sign up today!
Therapeutic Mixed Media Painting
In this mixed media painting class, students will dive deep into a healing process, exploring personal stories and struggles while creating expressive collages.
Students can take any of these classes individually or as a series! In this first segment of Intro to Jewelry, students will learn how to make a pendant from start to finish. Fun fact, Nanette’s studio has both AC + heat depending on the season!
Stained Glass in September…
In Cara’s class students learn the basics of the copper foil “Tiffany” method of creating stained glass, which includes cutting and grinding glass, applying copper foil and soldering glass pieces together.
