Roy Guerrette
Roy Guerrette graduated from the University of Southern Maine in 1997 with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Ceramics. He worked as a graphic artist for ten years while continuing his craft as a studio assistant with Portland Pottery Studios. Originally from the state of Maine, he relocated to Durham, North Carolina to begin his second career as a nurse in 2013. Roy recently joined Liberty Arts to expand upon his clay work and envelope himself in the creative energies woven into the fabric of Durham, NC. He enjoys creating, teaching, and the comradery of a community-based studio where multiple forms of art creation are represented and explored. “Initially, I create symmetrical works on the wheel. Later, I alter them, and give them personalities.”
