About Us

Founded in 2001, Liberty Arts is a collective of artists and design builders who share co-working studio space and proudly serve as stewards of the Liberty Foundry at the George Watts Arts Pavilion in Durhams Central Park.

We are home to one of North Carolina’s most diverse selection of mediums under one roof.

Our mission is to enrich our communities with arts experiences that inspire, empower, educate, and entertain. 

• Provide studio space for artists, craftspeople and designers who enjoy collaborating with each other and the community and accomplished artists.

• Provide access to the fire arts, metal casting, metal fabrication, ceramics, blacksmithing, and hot glass

• Inspire enthusiasm in our community for the arts.

• Provide easy access to skills associated with the industrial arts.
